Good Morning! Looks like we’re in for another rainy day and weekend, but then it is September and we are in Florida and it is Hurricane Season. Rainy days are great days for cleaning the house, or going to a library or book store or museum or one of the great art galleries here on the Space Coast. Or just a great day to daydream. I feel like rainy days are Mother Nature’s way of giving us permission to be dreamy, to think about new projects, or maybe even finish an old one. Rainy days are times for tea and cookies and a good book. We have permission to slow down on a rainy day.
This rainy day, I will be at Creative Energy, the PURPLE store located at 780 W. New Haven Ave., aka Hwy 192, in Melbourne, from noon until 5 pm. The PURPLE peeps, Pamela, Vance, Aimee, and Alyssa will also be at the shop rearranging this and that as even more orders have arrived this week. The store is bursting with new and old favorites. Check out the ad in Horizons Magazine! And check out the Fairie Garden! New additions!
Remember, we are still in the Celtic Tree month of Vine, the Blackberry Bramble. It has been considered a protective plant throughout the centuries. The berries have been used to help with depression and to restore happiness and hope when dispensed in ‘blackberry cordial’. Yet in Brittany they will not consume blackberries because they believe it is the food of the fairies and if people eat them, the fairies will be angered. Personally, I believe if you are using the blackberry for health the fairies will be happy to share them with you.
Next week Friday is the Opening Night of the “Brighton Beach Memoirs” at Surfside Playhouse, 302 Ramp Road, Cocoa Beach. The Theatre season is beginning! Volunteering is always a fun way to meet new friends! Call me to volunteer!
