Gobble! Gobble! What a wonderfully gratitude-full day, my Thanksgiving was! I hope yours was as well. We moved into the Celtic Tree Month of Elder on November 25th. This tree was very revered in all parts of Europe, Northern and Southern. Permission from the tree herself had to be asked before a twig could be taken or great misfortune would occur to whatever the wood was used for. In Ireland, it was even forbidden to take any of her branches. Elder’s leaves can repel insects, its berries make fine wine and deep purple dye, and carpenters favor it for its close grain.
Mother Elder was so revered that the early Christian church had to cast it into ill-repute by declaring it was the wood used in Jesus’s cross and that it was the tree Judas hung himself on. Because of this campaign, the reputation of Lady Elder is mixed, although her healing ability remains.
The Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun is in Sagittarius this weekend. Lots of athletic energy abounds within us. There are also four planets in Capricorn but with the Sun in Sagittarius we will want to move. This is the energy that makes you want to wiggle in your seat and get up and walk around. Use this creative inventive energy! What are you willing to create that you will take a risk for? What can you be thankful for? This is a weekend of high energy with focus. Use it to your best advantage.
Today, I will be focusing my energy at Creative Energy, the PURPLE store, located at 780 W. New Haven Ave., aka. Hwy. 192, Melbourne, from noon until 5:00 pm. The PURPLE peeps, Pamela, Vance, Aimee, and Alyssa, will be focusing their high energy into assisting you in finding the perfect gift for someone or for yourself. Remember supporting a small business is supporting our community!
As a side note, another small business, in Cocoa Beach, “Cocoa Beach Essentials”, is now carrying my book, BEYOND THE FINE LINE. So if you are up in that neck of the woods, stop in, and support them. It is a lovely little shop that recently opened.
I’ll leave you with a quote from the astrologer, Debra Silverman, “You know why we live forever? Because it takes that long to say ‘Thank You.’“ Namaste. Later! Ciao!
