Today is the first day of the Celtic Tree Month of Reed. It is harvested in November for use in thatching roofs, thus it provides protection. When Pan was chasing Syrinx, she changed herself into a reed, (protection again). Pan was distraught and confused by the myriad of reeds. He cut several and bound them together to create the panpipe so he could express his lust and sorrow.
This is also the day of the “Witches Ball”, held annually at the Universal Unitarian Church of Brevard located at 2185 Meadowlane Ave., Melbourne. The festivities begin at 6:00 pm. There is NO entry fee but there will be beverages and food – bring a dish to share if you can, music, drumming, free fun activities for children will be provided by many, including Alyssa from Creative Energy (the PURPLE store). I will available for readings, only $30 for 30 minutes and the evening’s activities will conclude with a Samhain ritual. This is a family friendly event and I have always had fun attending it!
To get in the proper mood for a fun evening attend Free Improv at the Cocoa Beach Library provided by “Group Therapy.” This is also a free event. I may not make be able to participate in the troupe today, due to a prior commitment, but I know it will be fantastic and fun time for all.
Try to have fun today, no matter what you do or where you go, because this coming week will be all about values, acting NOT reacting, and relationships due to both the Sun and Venus being in Scorpio. Also, on Halloween, Mercury moves into Sagittarius (the truth teller). Think twice or three times before speaking. Try to consider, “Is it truthful? Is it kind? Is it necessary?” Before speaking.
Life is good and getting better. Take care of you this week, and be mindful of what you are creating with your mind, your words, and your actions. Later! Ciao!
